Kevin Locraft Joins NoiseAware As CEO

As part of NoiseAware’s aggressive growth plan and expansion into new hospitality segments, we’re excited to announce the appointment of Kevin Locraft as CEO. Kevin comes to us from Expedia/Vrbo, where he spent nearly a decade growing the company’s short-term-rental (STR) business.

As Vice President of Partner Success, Kevin led Expedia’s ~400 person, STR-focused, acquisition and account-management organization. In addition to his ability to build and lead large teams, he brings expertise in strategy, M&A, and business development.

“Kevin has been a longtime supporter of NoiseAware’s mission. Adding his industry expertise and executive leadership experience to further our category leadership was an obvious choice,” says NoiseAware Co-Founder Andrew Schulz.

Fixing In-Stay Nuisances From Anywhere, Starting With Noise

Andrew and co-founder David Krauss (now head of STR advocacy organization Rent Responsibly) came up with the concept for NoiseAware when Krauss lost his own vacation rental after a rowdy party went undetected at his property, infuriating neighbors and violating noise ordinances. The pair launched NoiseAware in 2015, quickly positioning the company’s privacy-safe noise measurement platform as the go-to technology for solving in-stay nuisances quickly and effectively.

Since 2015, NoiseAware has monitored over 3,000,000 stays on behalf of STR property managers, owners, and hosts across the globe. Our privacy-safe technology proactively resolves noise-related issues that often lead to property damage, fines, injuries, and complaints. That leaves STR professionals free to focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences. NoiseAware also partners with communities nationwide to incentivize owners and managers to protect their neighborhoods from noise-related disturbances. And we advocate for fair and balanced regulation.

“The industry is professionalizing and NoiseAware’s technology is key to the continued growth and sustainability of the short-term-rental market. I am excited to be joining this incredible team,” Kevin notes.

Expanding Our Services, Growing Our Team

As Kevin Locraft moves into his new position, Andrew Schulz will assume the role of Chief Growth Officer, to expand our product portfolio. Kevin adds, “Watching Andrew for nearly seven years, I developed great respect and admiration for his ability to envision a new category and assemble the team to bring it to life. I am thrilled that he will continue to help us identify future areas for innovation and growth.”

Welcome, Kevin. We’re so happy to have you onboard, and excited to grow our hospitality-industry tech platform with you at the helm. Let’s do this!!
